21 Day Daniel Fast

I said that I wasn’t going to have a resolution this year instead I would start my year out with a fast! The 21 day Daniel fast to be exact. On this fast you cannot eat meat, bread, sugars, poultry, or dairy! Basically the starve diet! lol. I set out to do this to kick start my diet, get healthy, and to pray and fast over things I want and need out of life. This is my second time doing this fast and I am currently on day 10! I’m excited to finish this time around and I hope to stick with the healthy eating after I’m done. I was happy with the results from my last fast. I pray and read scriptures daily as part of the regimen. If you have the bible app on your phone it sends you your daily prayer and has the fast mapped out for you. I think the best way to stay on track with any fast or diet is to prep and plan. Mason jars for salads and fruits are good ideas because you usually will grab something already made and easy to prepare when hungry. I substitute all my meat with textured veggie crumbles and mushrooms. I also throw all unhealthy food out before I start my fast and restock my fridge with fruits and veggies! It won’t be easy but it will be worth it!
